A brown hare, easily one of my favourite wildlife subjects, appeared as I was on an early May morning stroll, the sun shining across the fields. It’s not often seen where I live, so it was a real delight to encounter one.

A Eurasian tree sparrow shelters beneath a rain‑dampened hawthorn in the Mid‑Ulster countryside, accompanied by another sparrow.
Only came across this ‘baby’ great tit close to the Ballymully River.
Due to the exceptionally warm summer of 2025, the wheat field was harvested even before mid-August. Captured on August 12th in the evening.
Taken on a warm and sunny August day.
Located on the Coleraine–Limavady route, overlooking Lough Foyle with Donegal across the water, set beneath the Binevenagh area.
Behind the maize field, in the distance, stands Slieve Gallion, near Moneymore.
Slieve Gallion is part of the Sperrin Mountain range, sitting along the road between Churchtown and Moneymore. This photograph was taken in the final month of autumn, when the landscape still holds its last traces of colour.
